Yo OP, good post. (Former Jarhead here)

Re: Troops are Trump’s. I’ve been saying the same multiple times, especially with all the “why does Biden need so many troops if he’s legitimately elected“ memes - Not Biden’s troops, folks :-)

Re: Coin. My experience is that the coin is not unique to special forces, FYI. Also, in the Christopher Miller mingling with the troops video, he speaks to the two guys that he hands out coins to, and they indicated they are in the band. And Miller references the old tradition of “the responsibilities of the military bandmembers are also to protect headquarters in case it’s overrun, and so it’s appropriate that you guys are here protecting the capital.”

Check the audio.

I think your premise still stands, though. I think it’s very likely that there’s more personnel there than only National Guard, and in fact we saw some USMC Ospreys in the DC airspace on video yesterday. (I have zero specific knowledge of anything in DC, btw)

I’m glad you finally put it in a post, though - I would’ve saved myself a lot of typing if I would’ve just done that three days ago, lol. ???
