I know it's hard to think of jealousy as being anything other than envy. But much like there is sinful anger and righteous anger (Jesus flipping tables) This is righteous jealousy. God doesn't want us worshipping other Gods or idols. I was referencing the Cabal's devil worship. So I was referencing God's righteous jealousy for us. The song "How He Loves Us" has a great verse about this: He is jealous for me. He loves like a hurricane, I am a tree. Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy. When all of a sudden, I am unaware and these afflictions eclipsed by glory And I realize just how beautiful You are and how great Your affections are for me.
