That's why he was so successful throughout his life. In one of his earlier speeches as president I remember him saying "...never, ever, ever, ever give up! Never!"

I just cannot, I will not believe that he tucked his tail in and walked away defeated. It's just not in his nature. He's a shrewd deal maker and negotiator.
