As a Canadian, I tend to think we are in more trouble than our American conservative counter-parts, at least in the short term. We seem to be a bit further down the socialist/communist rabbit hole, whereas there are plenty of red states in the US & the possibility of a Trump re-emergence.
Perhaps I haven't connected with the right groups yet, but the conservative movement in the US seems larger and more organized than here in Canada. For instance, there are plenty more conservative media organizations in America. This is in part due to Canada's lower population, and it's unclear what fraction of our population hold conservative values. I fear that the proportion is significantly lower.

Really troubled recently that a true conservative politician, Derek Sloan, was ousted by his party, for what on the surface seems to be woke & illegitimate reasons. In the worst case, it shows that our conservative "leadership" will capitulate to the Left when they apply pressure to cancel our representatives, in the more optimistic case, it shows that our current conservative "leadership", Erin O'Toole, is a political snake, who worked to get rid of a rising political opponent. Neither are particularly comforting.
Derek Sloan was very pro-Trump, and wanted to push forward Trump-like policies (domestically and internationally). He wanted to fight against wokeness/cancel culture, stand up to the CCP, build stronger ties to a Trump-US government, and so forth.
On the issue of COVID isolation locations/camps in Canada, this seems to have been in the works since at least October 2020. It is speculated these will not be used for "just" COVID patients, but, also political dissidents (say, anti-lockdown folks). See YouTube video here for more details.
