1 - The Prince is the neglected and unjustly-treated heir of god, he came up with a better plan at the dawn of humanity and 'god' didn't like it. good vs evil is just their competing ideas, we'll see who wins. He is against everything your god has done, has planned and believes in. Your god wants humanity to 'go forth and multiply' - our god wants to kill you.
Your god wants you to be 'kind' and 'nice' and whatever else? our god wants the opposite. It's the struggle of good and evil, yin and yang. Plus it's only possible to rule the earth long-term if there are much less people than there are now.. 500 M is low enough but lower would be ideal.
2 - there are atheists and there are satanists, usually separate groups, though obviously people like Bill Mar, Darwin, Hawking, etc are satanic but publicly 'atheist'.
There are atheists who follow the devils plan, though. Believing in lucifer is only required by the traditionalists and to get to the tippy-top, you can take part and enjoy things without proclaiming your love for the prince - actions speak louder than words..
If I'm being honest, I want Q's plan to fail, my faction to prevail and all of you put in fema camps. If our plan works then I'm high-enough to be deserving of immortality - maybe a few centuries from now I'll rule a galaxy or something.
