It was "yeah ok Trump was TECHNICALLY right, but here's what we really did and it was TOTALLY legal and we TOTALLY saved the country from evil drumpf!"

If they were forced by the good guys to write that, that was a very stupid thing to do. They described every event as totally legal and not at all corrupt and, "hey, it got rid of trump! we saved democracy!!" It seems far more likely that Time figured that, eventually, information about the election being rigged would become mainstream so they are trying to control the narrative in the event that occurs so the left excuses their crimes.
