I was actually adopted in St.Petersburg when I was 3 by two very wonderful parents. There was a very small window for the opportunity to adopt from Russia. I am extremely grateful for my parents for giving me a much better lifestyle than I would have had, had I not been adopted. I will say, unfortunately, many of those who are not adopted, will have a very tough life and many die on the streets. It kind of hurts innocent children looking for a family. But, I could see Putin wanting to protect 'his children' from disgusting pedophiles. There are definitely both pros and cons to banning adoption from there. On the side note though, I am a VERY proud AMERICAN. I don't think of myself as a Russian. My Country is the US. I will do whatever to help protect its freedoms and fellow Americans!!????
