I'm not sure. My take is that the polar opposite stance on the mask/distancing thing from a medical institution would just be the biggest red flag to all the haters to come in and call it all BS. Also it's from a hospital perspective and I guess that the idea is that it's at least one more strategy to minimize the chance of infection in the first place. Masks are useless for anyone except those that are already sick - stopping someone cough a lung full of virus particles in your general direction is about the only use for them. To extend this to "Let's all put six of the bastards on, then we'll all feel safe" is one major crux of the problem, IMO. The main take I get from the data is that it's entirely achievable already to (a) prevent someone getting sick or (b) heal someone who has caught it and is on the downward spiral. I.E. "We don't need your expensive and unproven vaccines - we can heal people or prevent it with proven safe drugs and vitamins that have been in use for decades already". Seems like a better path than the Bill Gates Microchipathon, from where I see it.
