I reseached all the religions for 35 years. I inteviewed Cardinals at the Vacitcan, Scholars at Duke, Imams in Kuala Lumpur, Buddists in Mongolia and China, Billy Graham amongst many others. It was exhasuting. I was trying to discern why each thought they were right and why all the others were wrong... however that might shake out. I even wrote a book on my findings. All that to say this...
God isn't what man has made God out to be. Our present concepts are man-made constructions. I discovered through science why each of them work. In every religion, there are the faithful with their stories of miracles... and yes they all had them in the name of their religion. Each story and experience was real. They all worked. But why? How? That is a topic for a different time. But believe me when I tell you, science had the answer. There is an explanation. No religious zealot would ever want that explanation exposed. It would end the battles amongst them <-- my real reason for having written the book.
My reponsse here is to challenge you for a bit. I discovered some material that bridged the sciences and religions that blew my mind. This was about a decade ago. I didn't subscribe then and not fully subscribed now. I just logged it in the back of my mind. But today, many dots have fallen into place that suggests this material not only has merit but might very well be true.

I simply request you give this material a read. It is worthy to at least see the perspective and digest it. It is again, driven by science. 10 years ago I was unaware of the sciences discussed in the manuscript. But today, I have validated 90% of science and the remianing 10% is already in the mainstream as hypothesis and theory. This leads a sane reseacher to think this might be true.
There was a series of 5 interviews. The first four were release in the 90s. The fith was intentionally held until the 2000s. Do yourself a favor and give it a read. It will not harm you. We are living through some confusing times. This material is not to confuse anyone nor sway them away from their faiths. But it does provide some explanations that all relgions ignore entirely.
