The best way to wake up is to first get to know yourself. How does your psychology work? How do the subconscious and self-conscious interact? And how do outside events influence these 2 parts of you?
If people don't understand the system inside them well enough, they are basically living in a fog. And when living in a fog, it's hard to have a clear vision of things and truth might evade you and cognitive dissonance has a fertile ground to grow in.
Since we can't help people to truly get to know themselves with one forum post, we can at least try to clear away some of the fog or hope that our red pills reach someone in which the fog is (temporarily) less present.
