The point is: who controls those who controls avast as the company ?

There was time when media went insane about Kaspersky as potentially bound to Russian intelligence (Well, they might be right about that). Kaspersky isn't avast of course, but asking who created software you use isn't stupid (and asking about those person(s) finances and the thing to who they are bound isn't such too) - would you be happy if CIA or Gouanbu guys would tinker with your car ? Would you trust such car any time longer ? Operating system and antivirus are critical parts of your personal computer security. Who knows what would happen if it is compromised - it may get you arrested and sentenced basing on fake "proofs" or even killed like with car tinkered by sinister intelligence agencies.

For example: I wouldn't trust Dick Cheney as a man, he was vicepresident of Bush after all - but he was right when he was fearing that his hearth implant could be hacked...

Because today newest cars are quite computerized i would fear that for example recording cd with music on compromised computer could even result in infesting can bus with a virus - resulting in car accident. It looks crazy for non-technical person like Dick's fear of his hearth implant - but it is possible way of assassination. Most of people don't even notice this possibility, and it not even demand physical tampering with car.
