I thought that at first, but I'm not 100% convinced of that.

Normally anyplace that prints actual quotes, as this one did, and attributes it to a real person, as this one did, MUST make it clear that it is a satirical piece somewhere within (or at the boundaries of) the article, or they are subject to libel laws (from the FL Gov. and the Pres. of the United States in this case). I looked all over for such a statement and could not find it.
