Don't know if DNA has much to do with the current state of disembodied powers. And such does not explain the INITIAL contempt of the Fallen themselves (who are distinct from demons) - wholly non-human but children of God... The demons OTOH are bastard spirits, spawned from contempt and violation; fatherless and illegitimate. It shows in their human venerators.
