The ceo of the company I work for sent out a letter to it's employees today expressing outrage for the asian hate crime. I feel sad I'm the only one who can see through the narrative.
I don't get it, it seems pretty racist to me that an attack on sketchy massage parlors is considered an Asian hate crime. I don't understand how massage parlors offering sex services become a symbol of asian unity.
Someone who harbours hate towards asian americans would attack an asian grocery store, an asian plaza or chinatown. But a series of sex shops?
I don't condone violence, but at the same time, I think trying to label this as an asian hate crime is also insulting.
