All unrepented sin is a one way ticket to hell. But our Creator loves us so much, He gave us His only begotten Son who died on the cross paying the penalty for our sins. He is not only the perfect sacrifice, He is also our defense attorney on Judgment Day if we believe in Him and ask for forgiveness of our sins.

Remember, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Salvation is not about what you've done or haven't done. It's a gift of God.

Everybody knows John 3:16 even if they don't know what it says.

But not many talk about the verses that immediately follow-

John 3:17-21

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
