As someone who's background culture isn't American, I just disagree and feel it's a very American centric approach.

Things in other countries, where people are already and have already suffered long term, have fought hard for their rights and quite often just been outright murdered in return, have not magically changed and those people are more than a little aware of the structure of things.

In fact, what you say, is similar to the ethos of The Open Society - except they just have a different goal.

They think people should suffer to bend to their ways. To remake the world. Hell, that's literally why we're ALL suffering through the bullshit scamdemic atm. Because THEY believe what you just said, they just wish to apply it to alternate means.

I think you really are missing the bigger picture - that the rest of the world is not America. That the rest of the world is reasonably educated on how unfair and slimy shit is. That the rest of the world has had their own struggles. America is very, very, very different to other places. Materialism isn't an obsession in many other countries... because they're already poor. They have basic needs and wants.

I just disagree that it's to "wake up the normies" because other countries have had to suffer tyranny throughout history and its design wasn't to wake people up - it was literally just because evil HAD gained control.

I fear that is where we're at and there's a lot of faith put into something that may not be. In a way, it's staying asleep...to think that this is all "according to plan" and to trust it will all work out as we see our safety, emotional happiness and gains withered away.

Like I said, your argument is now bordering too close for me, to the same ethos commies and Soros and Co. have. They just have a different application in mind, but it's the same basic principle set.

Again, no disrespect to your viewpoint, healthy discussion is always needed in trying times.
