Is it just me, or does the Canadian government have a real totalitarian streak?

My brother and a cousin live in Canada (Ontario and Quebec) and I can't believe the heavy handed way they are treated. It's like they're felons on parole. I would never want to live there.

When you see what they're doing to citizens of other countries, you realize how lucky we are to have the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We cannot let them be eroded or we're done for.
