Research is being conducted into possible ways of preventing atmospheric harm due to the sun's rays. Nobody is looking into "blocking the sun"

This OP created this post with the goal of drumming up speculation and fear over something very simple: scientists are looking into means by which we can care for the planet we live on, by manufacturing a 'screen' (my words) that might help lessen damage done by the sun's rays within our atmosphere. It's not complicated, OP just doesn't understand it, and is spreading a conspiracy theory over something that is pretty black and white.

To OP: sometimes, these magical people called scientists create something called a hypothesis, which is basically a theory or question. The scientists do research and practice experiments to make discoveries that will either prove or disprove their hypothesis. This is called the Scientific Method, and our entire collective knowledge of the universe is based on discoveries made through this process. Bill Gates has a lot of wealth, large portions of said wealth are consistently being lent to these scientists as funding to practice their research and conduct experiments. This Sun scenario is just one of them.
