They'll hold fire UNLESS they're directly being fired upon AND they can positively ID the flash from the muzzle. If you think the AUMF for the M.E. and Afghanistan is strict, you've gotta read the rules for the NG when patrolling our city streets. Most of th NG units called up for the other riots we've had in the past weren't even allowed to insert a mag, much less chamber a round. Currently, in Afghanistan and Iraq, our gate guards can't have a chambered round unless they call th HQ Duty Officer for permission. And that's only after at least 5 min of deliberations with any idiot causing a ruckus at the gate. The rules for NG units INCONUS are even more strict...for now.

When the "Biden/Harris Admin," or any other Cabal "admin" decides to let loose on us, it'll be a different story, but for now, the current rules for the NG are that of "logistical support" only.
