The order does not make any mention of school district policies, though officials later clarified that it doesn’t affect schools. Many school districts have ongoing mask mandates that are set to expire after classes end in late May or early June.

Sorry but the school district is a government entity, and EO #2021-102 says it ends immediately. I am sending my daughter to school tomorrow with no mask, I told her she doesn't have to wear a mask and if they give her grief then she can give them the EO that I printed out and wrote a note on highlighting the parts that talk about how detrimental it is to your health to wear these masks. I added if they have an issue with this then they can call her father to pick her up from school because they chose to make a political statement over her education.

This is all about #8.

Edit: Here is an update, they didn't even let my daughter in the front door of her school let alone the office. I told my husband to take her back again tomorrow same deal. They are deciding a political stance is more important than her education now. She attends a public school, and public schools are a local government entity.

Edit: After many many calls, I finally got through not to the Gov (I never expected too) but to the office they told me that they can not interpret his words from the EO and that any clarifications would be in the press release. I didn't find a press release from him and I searched the transcripts of the new conference he had on the new EO and none of them state as this email I got claims

Dear OCPS families and staff, As a follow up to yesterday’s announcement from the Governor regarding his most recent executive orders we received additional guidance from the Florida Department of Education. The guidance stated that the executive orders only apply to city and county governments and do not apply to school districts or individual schools. Neither of the Governor’s executive orders impact any school district’s policies for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. All OCPS safety policies and protocols will stay in place through the summer. The safety protocols are detailed in the Health & Safety Procedures Manual on the front page of ocps.net. Thank you for your continued support of Orange County Public Schools.

I called her school because I was told someone from there would be calling me (they close at 4pm) which no one has yet, and they said an administrator would get in contact with me. I don't know who this "additional" guidance is but it sounds like a farce to me. In my opinion if the Florida Department of Education is acting counter to what our Governor has stated they are now acting foreign entity within the United States of America.

Edit: As of 5:30pm est the school administrator never returned my call. Seems like they are more interested in a political agenda than teaching children.
