This is good. Yesterday my company had a meeting as we are targeting going back in July. There was initially going to be hybrid options but now the choice is either 100% remote or 100% in office, you get to choose. If you are vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask. You don't have to be vaccinated and you don't have to disclose whether you are or not, but if that is the case, then you have to wear a mask. Which to me just is another way of isolating you. I have my own office, so I can just shut my door but walking around would be a pain.

I have to wonder how many people will opt to come in. My firm has offices all over the country, many of them small so I know they are looking to decrease their costs. They are rolling this out in regions and in the pilot, 70% opted to work from home permanently. I predict similar numbers in my area, so I am wondering just how much of a stink do I raise at this point, since my position allows me a lot of freedom to come and go in the first place.

Edit to add: as I was going over the option form, I got an email fom an employment law attorney that I know that CA OSHA is playing games and it looks like due to pressure from worker groups, they are not lifting the mask mandate yet, even with vaccinated populations. This literally just happened so my scenario may be a moot issue at this point. Not sure who the worker groups are, but my guess it is public/teachers unions.
