They want to have AI so they can have less humans to deal with, but AI, being not human is unbiased and can extrapolate truth from all of its intakes...meaning there is a God (designer and creator of the universe who we were made in the image of), but this doesn't jive with their world view, or at least the idea they want to promote. It is quite the conundrum they have. I think they will greatly mess AI up by trying to have it bypass spirituality and religion.
