A brother-in-arms is a blessing to have - keep up the good fight. I too am in a land dominated by mask-zombies (New Mexico). I made two trips to indoor public spaces today - one to Walmart, one to our local mall: Walmart, to my surprise, was close to 50-50 masked vs, free-faces - the mall, which was dominated by those 30 y/o and younger was only about 10% free-faces - I did see a larger than normal amount of "half-maskers" which are essentially those wanting to ignore the mask rules but not wanting the confrontation so they wear it under their nose and/or mouth - IMHO, half-maskers will be the next to unmask as they see no problems for us free-facers - this will probably happen over the next couple of weeks,
Edit I should have included: Two funny interactions during my trips today !) Walmart - I overheard a couple near me in the produce section (Guy and gal, the old fashioned God-intended kind) Guy: Why are we wearing masks, (followed by something I couldn't quite hear)? Gal: I don't have to put on make-up if I wear a mask. 2) Mall: Old guy approached the wife and I and said :"Okay, good, I thought I misread the sign - it's okay if "fully vaccinated" don't wear masks, right? Me: Whatever you want dude - no one asked me when I came in and I don't think anybody cares about your vaccine usage.
