Isn't that most jobs? Management want you to be their perfect cog in the machine. I had good experiences there. Not perfect, mind you, but it wasn't terrible. Big goverment oriented companies are very sensitive to the prevailing winds of government though, so this kind of nonsense is probably just virtue signaling so they can keep winning contracts.
