Was commenting on this earlier today, to my hubby and neighbor. 17 years ago, at the Memorial Day Golf Tournament in Dublin, OH it was extremely loud and distracting because of the cidadas (if memory serves, Tiger Woods was playing then). So far this year, nothing. AND not only that, but when I take my dog out at night, there are NO crickets, no frogs ... I live on a creek, those sounds are a constant when the weather is warm. This year, nothing at all. It's bizarre. Like even nature is holding her breath to see what happens next.
