I actually think that aliens are a statistical **impossibility. Assuming Darwinian evolution is true, there's just not enough time in the Universe (~15+ Billion years old) for ANOTHER advanced life form to evolve by purely natural, unguided random processes somewhere else.

It's already too large of a statistical jump to say that Carbon based life was able to naturally evolve by purely natural, unguided random chance. Now we want to say that same process happened somewhere **else in the universe to produce a MORE advanced life form?? I mean jeez, talk about lighting striking twice!

Too big of a jump for me with not enough "evolutionary" Time for it to happen twice.
