Yeah, good point. There are always going to be assholes spewing shit all over (nice visual, eh?). If we are basing our positions on logic and evidence (truth), we have nothing to worry about. The lies from all the shills are not important.

Things that are true become stronger the more you analyze them. Lies, on the other hand, fall apart the more you analyze them.

The lesson in this is for us to spend the time and effort necessary to analyze / verify / prove all the things that really matter. That is how the truth can be found buried under all the lies.

Edit: People's actions show you the difference. Any time you find people trying to prevent the analysis or verification of a topic (the science is settled... audits are racist, etc.) you can be pretty sure that those people are desperately trying to protect a fragile web of lies... which is all the more reason to keep digging. On the other hand, people following the truth welcome more analysis at any time, because that only makes the truth stronger.
