MP just refers to Member of Parliament. In Australia,Parliament is made up of 3 branchs.
1 The Governor General, basically the guardian of the Constitution. Mainly symbolic, even though the Office of GG had a good test on 11 November 1975,with the dismissal of the very corrupt Whitlam Labor Government. Passed the test well.
2 The House of Representatives(Lower House) equal to US Congress.
3 The Senate(Upper House)
As you can see, Australia borrowed ideas from the US and the British Westminster system.
With this move to get Assange released,we would have to be very cautious.This may be a move to have him killed.It appears he is very important to the White Hats.
I try not to generalise,but unfortunately anyone involved with the Australian Labor Party usually can't be trusted.A lot of Labor Politicians are aligned with the Deep State and The CCP.
There are also some good,right wing people on that list,like the Deputy Prime Minister,Barnaby Joyce.Whether some of these good people are being used, without their knowledge remains to be seen.
If the US Government digs it heels in and refuses to make Assange's release possible,there may be a very good reason for this,to safeguard Assange.
