Healthcare providers are required to report to VAERS the following adverse events after receiving these EUA vaccines:

1. Death
2. A life threatening adverse event
3. A significant or persistent disability or incapacity
4. Hospitalization or prolonging of hospitalization

So while it is true that anyone can report an event on these covid vaccines, because of the emergency use authorization hospitals and doctors are required to report. AND the FDA/CDC is required to immediately follow up on these specific reports.
