It’s all good. Cutting out those conditional statements can make a huge difference.
“If anyone breaks into my house and starts raping my wife, I will feel absolutely nothing about setting a human being on fire.”
Becomes,
“I will feel absolutely nothing about setting a human being on fire.”
You still said what you said, but the conditional statement is always a necessary context. The second statement makes me sound like a psychopath. The first makes me sound like someone willing to temporarily become a psychopath to protect my wife and avenge her honor. Maybe not MUCH better, but it’s a difference worth noting.
All sorts of fake news LOVE cutting out conditional statements, because things sound insane when you remove the “if this happens” part from it first.
