Based on what I've found, there is no instance of him ever opposing racially integrated schools.

He currently does not oppose them, and the previous instance where I'm assuming you drew this fact from came from a statement where he opposed government mandated integrated bussing. In this same hearing, he gave his support for racially integrated schools and communities, and further reading on it showed that it was the process of the mandated bussing that he seemed to oppose. In fact, he also stated that voluntary integrating bussing should be encouraged, so it’s not like he was against the integration of busses even at all
