Senator Paul pointed out with the research paper that the gain of function research conducted at the Wuhan lab received funding from the NIH. Fauci then tried to claim that the research in the paper presented wasn’t gain of function research. Senator Paul then pointed out to Fauci that by his (the NIH’s) own definition of gain of function research the paper was describing gain of function research. Fauci then tried to change the subject by stating that covid-19 didn’t come from the research described in the paper. Fauci also tried to change the subject by claiming that the viruses described in the paper weren’t responsible for the plandemic. Fauci is nervous because he was caught in a lie, plain and simple. Given Senator Paul’s prelude to his questioning (lying to Congress is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison) i’d be nervous too.
