The clue was what a normal German when asked why they didn't stop it said something like 'we were all just waiting for things to get a little bit worse. Now imagine you are armed and they come to the door to take you to a temporary 'quarantine' for public health reasons. They tell you you will be able to return when it's safe to do so. Or you can take the vaccine and become compliant. Not many are actually gonna shoot all those doorstop agents (and they would need to be all shot and disposed of). People know their life is over if they do that and they cannot pretend life will go on as normal. Even if they get everyone of them and bury the bodies, they'll come looking so have to go on the run. If multiple people did it, likely Civil War (which is probably inevitable) but most wouldn't because a) they will go into denial that this can happen in the US - and b) reason they can live another day if they don't shoot now. Maybe it will only be temporary quarentine or they can figure something out when they get to the camps. Or they'll cave and get the vax and hope they don't have a bad reaction. (they'll still be on borrowed time as a conservative though, especially a Trump supporter)

The US has the history and is proud of it's 2nd Amendment (rightly) but when it comes down to it I'm not sure they will fire their way out of it because human nature being what it is, they'll just deny it's happening and hope somebody else will do something.
