From what I saw, she only admitted it was “probably inappropriate” to take showers with him - she isn’t even sure. She doesn’t say her age at the time, and she does not accuse him of touching her. I’m not defending, but I read through the entire 112 pages and she never makes an accusation of her father touching her inappropriately. This is definitely the diary of someone who clearly has issues and is struggling with addiction - lots of people have addictions and many are as a result of childhood sexual trauma, but Ashley NEVER (at least not in these 112 pages) accuses her father of anything. I just think it’s important to be credible in everything we say here, or we cast doubt on whether we’re credible in anything, and we can’t criticize the “fake news” if we’re indulging in it as well towards those we don’t support.
