How about you make the "simple observation" that in the third image you can see his left hand emerging from behind the girl's arm just below her elbow while he's still holding the mask in view with his other hand. The emerging object doesn't exist in either of the previous 2 shots and lines up nicely with his hand in the fourth shot.
