ABSOLUTELY!!! I was in pharma for a minute when this happened. It transformed how Dr's were prescribing meds...patients came in asking for specific drugs. Now Dr's had to battle advertisers as well Simultaneously, practices were being forced to see more patients daily to meet the bottom line. I called on Dr's who legit saw up to 50 patients a day (PCP, FP). they were now given maybe 5 min to discuss meds with patients. In the end, Pharma won, WE ALL LOST I got out and worked in molecular diagnostics for remainder of career. This field has a more sophisticated underworld of $$$$ and politics
