I personally wouldn't put too much stock in the rank and file military somehow currently being fully cognisant of all the deceptions going on. I think, if Q be true and not just a pacification op, then it will rely on things being revealed to the Military and then them making the correct and noble decisions as a consequence.

The report I'm currently reading speaks about Hegemonic Masculinity - derived from Gramsci's cultural hegemony for example. The references, concepts, 'relevant theories' et al are all from critical theory or connected disciplines.
There's so much wrong with this report as a piece of work. It's self-referencing, clearly ideological, not at all objective (but then it doesn't pretend to be - it's about the Lived Experience). It's an embarrassing piece of work to be quite frank but it is being used to shape, through behavioural science, the UK Ministry of Defence.
So, assuming that we both do have a 'Special Relationship' I would treat the threat as really quite a serious one and would advise you to not at all be complacent.
