The narrative at the moment is this is bad. Much bad propaganda around supporting it. Looks like Codemonkey is doing his part as the narrative is being used by patriots ATM. It would not surprise me if the BBC report with the plane being mobbed was the new leader flying in from Qatar and everyone mobbing the plane for a glimpse of the Taliban Pope. Slow that video down and have a look at it on a loop, the people are celebratory and not looking desperate to get on the plane at all.

The whole BBC video could even be a complete LARP as the C-17 globemaster is missing features like visible turbines, depth to the windows and my first impression was that it was a mock up or empty airframe. The front of the plane looks off and people appear to be riding something at the front landing gear. The video quality is shit which does not help and I am not sure ATM.
