Being out of a job is an option when compared to death or a future as an AI-controlled zombie. But you are right, we need something faster than a lawsuit - something on the order of a deus ex machina. I keep wondering if a gigantic natural disaster would stop this whole shitshow in its tracks as people drop the bullshit to help their fellow humans. Like if something huge, like Yellowstone caldera blew, Hope it doesn't of course, but something so big it would snap people out of this trance of fear and hatefulness and reawaken their humanity.
