They didn’t though, because there have been studies on the effectiveness of masks and slowing the spread of flu in medical setting and it shows negligible effects. The masks can’t stop the flu and they can’t stop Covid. If you were going out in public and going around groups of people sick before all this, even with the flu, then you’re just an asshole. If you’re contagious you should stay home as much as possible. With any illness.

And that’s what I tell the “oh it’s masks and social distancing” crowd. Do you not naturally social distance in public when you can anyway? Like the marks on the floor, who stands all up on someone in a line anyway. Back the fuck up. You shouldn’t be all up on strangers anyway.
