All of this reminds me of Metal Gear Solid. MGS had so much of this type of stuff in the story. The constant back and forth, triple agents, double agents, spies who only showed themselves at the very end, international warfare that the public never knew about, massive weapons and weapons exchanges, etc. There's so much behind the scenes we don't know about, so when Q says we are in control, I very much believe him.
