I was worried my parents would try to find me to demand money or bring their problems to my doorstep for a decade... but they thankfully never did.

During that time, every time the phone or doorbell rang, it gave me shivers. Thankfully I hardly ever think of them and only now because of this post.

I too have never regretted excising that cancer.
