my kids went to private schools, and I always got the impression they could do whatever they wanted...it was the price we paid for having great academics/sports, they had strict rules/expectations. I think you're a customer at private schools and they have the right to refuse service, but I could be wrong. they might listen if you say you're removing your child/not paying tuition anymore.
