As an engineer designing medical devices for 15+ years and in the last few years spent a lot of time supporting a clinical trial in the ICU. I had a lot more exposure to the bedside nurses, boots on the ground, compared to my typical interactions with MD professors / podium speakers etc. I am really impressed with what ya'll do, the time, the effort, the skill, and fixing the things the MD did....(i've seen that enough to know whats up). I generally think i have the ability to do most jobs. I can say without a doubt i could not be a bedside nurse in the ICU. Even as a minimally emotional guy, seeing what those patients and their families go through on a day to day basis.... I couldn't do it, i would be putting my fist through the wall so often.... all of you my sincerest appreciation....
