I don't believe that LBJ was the real head of the assassination plot.
He was involved, no doubt. And because he was VP, he was in a position to make sure things were in place. But he wasn't likely the brains behind it.
It was a CIA op. The person who had the assets and intel strategy under his thumb was Allen Dulles. He would have known the right people who hired the CIA/FIB/Mob assets who pulled the triggers (more than one shooter).
JFK fired Allen Dulles after the Bay of Pigs fiasco. He also fired Cabell, who was Deputy Director of CIA. Cabell's brother was the mayor of Dallas at the time.
The biggest scandal of all is how the media covered it all up (Operation Mockingbird). The US Congress had a 2nd investigation in the 1970's, and they looked at all the Warren Commision info (WC was run by Allen Dulles, btw), and they looked at new info and witnesses. They conducted their own ballistics tests.
The congressional committee concluded that (a) at least 4 shots were fired, (b) at least one of those shots came from the grassy knoll, and (c) there had to be at least 2 shooters, making it a conspiracy.
That is the last official investigation, which means it stands today as the official position of the government as to what happened. And yet, the media only pushes the fake Warren Commission story.
I always thought Nixon was dirty. He probably was. But when you think about, since when did the DS give a shit if the blue team breaks into the office of the red team and looks at their papers? They don't give a damn, and they never have. Makes sense that they set it up to get rid of Nixon. If that was the case, it could only be because Nixon was not playing their game.
E. Howard Hunt was involved in the Watergate break-in. He was one of the burglers. (He was also probably one of the "3 Tramps" in Dallas when JFK was murdered, most likely handling the weapons for the shooters, or acting as a lookout.) He said before he died that LBJ was the one who ran "The Big Event" in Dallas. But if Hunt knew that Dulles was really the brains behind it, he would have taken that to his grave. He was a piece of shit, just like all the rest of them.
