I'll put this out there, maybe it'll help / maybe not.

In the gaming world, there is a way to sort of cheat that is called "smurfing" Basically a high skilled player creates a new account under the guise of being noob / or low skilled.

The 'smurf' knows tips / tricks / strategies that the high skill teams use. This enables the team to perform a lot better, even with no 'uppage' of skills to the players. Just having the advanced knowledge fed to them makes them play better.

People used to do this A LOT in the Counter Strike world, and it was real bad the first few years CS:GO was released.

Maybe these people were specifically targeted.

Some players just went right ahead and played like normal. Passing themselves off as players who always played, but never played comp, and that's why they're "unknown".

Maybe these people were specifically targeted for a yet to be seen reason.
