Interesting indeed, but not sure what connection you're seeing. If it's the antlered mask and covered in gold, it's pretty thin, and he doesn't look like he has any gold on, let alone covering.

Definitely an odd mask, you can see what look to be her earrings, but maybe the eye area is part of the mask so it looks like a non-human wearing a mask.
