If you read the quotes and articles carefully, they are not saying the "nu" variant is more deadly; they are saying it's more contagious. Well who cares, if it's less deadly than covid-19 which isn't very deadly in the first place?

Fear mongering to 1) get more (gullible) people to have a booster and 2) to drown out the recent stories about Africa having the lowest incidence of coof while being the least vaxxed.
