My opinion isn't special, but I do spend ten hours a day studying this. The obvious part is because they compare the asteroids to famous buildings/monuments. They literally did the "asteroid the size of the eiffel tower" thing already, it was comms about smuggling Maxwell out of France a while back, so it's pretty easy to assume this is once again comms.
The Zircon one I may be completely wrong on, just thought it was an interesting coincidence, but the two asteroid articles are definitely comms. That's what asteroids in the news are, comms about ops, often specifically op assets moving around.
