Nothing wrong with upgrading the quality of posts. Some will make the effort, others won't care.

(What's kinda funny is that I reckon a reasonable number here don't actually know what proofreading is. Case in point, cablez, who seems to think that proofreading equals a spell check.)

That said, I think your post could be proofed/better edited to read:

please proofread your posts before publishing.

Q's misspellings are one thing, but recently, too many posts/post titles have caused confusion due to misspellings and missing or incorrect punctuation.
